Addressing Parent Concerns
We greatly value the support that parents have given our schools as we use the Professional Learning Community model to maximize learning and achievement for all of our students. We have heard some concerns about the lost instructional time due to job action and how parents feel that may have negatively impacted student learning. The intent of PLC time is for teachers to work collaboratively to address the greatest student needs within their classroom. If we want to meaningfully address student learning gaps and needs then there is no better vehicle for that than the Professional Learning Community model.
We recognize that these early dismissal days create scheduling challenges for some families and our school would like to assist in any way we can to help minimize the impact on families. Please contact your school if daycare is an issue for you.
The PLC Year in Review
